Positive Projects Borrow Bag Scheme

A "borrow a bag" scheme allows shoppers to borrow reusable shopping bags from participating shops and return them on their next visit, or at another participating shop. This initiative aims to reduce single-use plastic bag usage and promote a more sustainable way of shopping.

Participating shops:

Stores receive a supply of reusable bags (often made from reclaimed materials by volunteers)

Borrowing:

Customers can borrow a bag to carry their purchases without needing to bring their own.

Returning:

Customers return the borrowed bags to the same shop or another participating store.

No charge:

The scheme is typically free, relying on trust and community participation.

We will be looking for volunteers for a number of tasks for this project.  From marketing & approaching shops to particpate in the scheme, fabric donations, fabric cutting, ironing, sewing & distributing.

If you would like to be involved & would like to volunteer some time, then please get in touch here.
